Over the past 150 million years, the Napa Valley was formed by tectonic plate movement and volcanic activity – extreme geological activity that created soil diversity unparalleled by any other wine region in the world.

It is largely this diversity that allows for remarkably complex and outstanding wines to be crafted. In tribute to the resilient formation of the Napa Valley, Fortitude is a blend of the finest vineyards throughout Napa in which each vineyard adds another layer of rich complexity to our wine.

The inaugural 2013 Fortitude Cabernet Sauvignon unfolds slowly, demonstrating both power and finesse in the highly extracted aromas and flavors. There is substantial structure from the 2013 vintage, which supports an expansive palate saturated with blackberry liqueur, dried black cherry, dark chocolate, sweet pipe tobacco and caramel. This is a huge wine that can easily balance the sweet oak notes from new French oak balance. It will reward extended aging; decant first if you can’t wait.
