Our 2016 Wildwood Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is elegant, complex and layered, showing aromas of Madagascar vanilla bean, macerated blackberry, black raspberry, and plum. The palate is dark and dense, saturated with brooding blackberry, black currant and black cherry alongside espresso bean and graham cracker crust notes. On the super lengthy finish, you find dark chocolate, graphite, and hints of bay leaf alongside chaparral herb notes of lavender and sage. This is the perfect Cabernet to exhibit the caliber of what Napa Valley and Rutherford produce. The firm cocoa-powder tannins—a signature of Rutherford dust character—enhance the velvet texture and well-balanced structure, providing a mineral-rich finish, as well as giving this Cabernet its cellar-worthiness. Only 280 cases were produced, and they are available exclusively at our winery.
