Provenance Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc
PROFILE
Due to the warm weather of Rutherford, our 100% Sauvignon Blanc is replete with tropical fruit flavors. On the nose, citrus notes intertwine with nuances of white flowers, mango, white peach and pineapple. On the palate, layers of pineapple, grapefruit and tangerine become apparent. Bright acidity and notes of nutmeg, vanilla and lemon curd balance intense flavors. Drink fresh, and pair with seafood, including cracked crab, sauteed scallops and mussels.
VINEYARD
The Rutherford American Viticultural Area (AVA) is located in the heart of Napa Valley and has the perfect climate and ideal soils for Sauvignon Blanc. Each block was picked at its maturity and fermented separately to increase the complexity of the wine.
WINEMAKING
We pressed the grapes as whole clusters then fermented the juice in a combination of concrete, small barrels and stainless steel tanks to capture Sauvignon Blanc’s lively fruit expression, toasty oak nuances and silky texture.
